And it all happens in Saint Petersburg, the magical city by the Baltic Sea,.Founded by Tsar Peter I of Russia in 1703, it served as the capital of the Russian Empire for more than two hundred years . In 1914 the city became Petrograd (Петрогра́д) After the 1917 October Revolution , when the capital was moved to Moskow , it was renamed Leningrad (Ленингра́д, 1924-1991) in honor of the Bolshevik leader. Only in 1991 the city regained its Imperial name and presently the Historic Centre of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments constitute a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Petro Palace in the city center is our "Russian home." Opened in 2006 in a renovated 19th century building, the hotel has become the favorite of the Russian elite and business world.
